About This Title

Released in May 1965 on Red Leaf Records, "If I Told My Baby" b/w "Like You Like Me" was The Paupers’ second single. Issued during the early stages of their career, the record helped the band build momentum on the Toronto club circuit and gain airplay on local radio. While it did not chart nationally, it strengthened their growing reputation within the Yorkville scene and deepened their working relationship with producer Duff Roman.
