Insight

If you like Newfoundland humour, (and who doesn’t), you will get a good laugh out of "PIECE OF BOLOGNA" and "OL’ NEWFIE OUTHOUSE". In the first song Dick Nolan tells of the awful plight of two Irishmen and a Newfie who get lost in the woods with no provisions left except one piece of Bologna. In "Ol’ Newfie Outhouse", written by Harris and Cuff, Dick tells what it is like to shiver in that "rugged wooden shack, when it’s twenty-five below". In a more serious vein, Dick sings "A Toast To The Newfie Girls" some of which are - ‘Rose in Rose Blanche’, ‘Pearl in Mt. Pearl’, ‘Gracie in Old Harbour Grace’, and so on. All in all, there are Newfoundland songs to suit every taste.
