Insight

Johnny Cash’s spectacular live performance at Folsom Prison has become a modern legend—a feat only Cash himself could have pulled off. The inmates at Folsom, eager for a diversion, were known to be a tough crowd, ready to boo off the stage anyone they found insincere. But Johnny Cash came, saw, and conquered.

With the success of his weekly television show, Cash has further cemented his place as an icon, bringing together Country, Country & Western, and Folk artists.

Dick Nolan’s Folsom Prison is a tribute to this legendary artist. While Nolan’s voice has often been compared to Cash’s, he has never relied on imitation. Instead, he brings his own distinct style to this exciting collection of Johnny Cash classics.
