About This Title

“My country is not a country, it’s winter.” So sings one of Quebec’s most popular chansonniers, and from November to May it’s an accurate enough assessment. But winter is what you make it, and to help make it more pleasant we offer some jazz-flavoured Christmas cheer from a trio of Montreal musicians led by organist Buddy Munro.

“Mon pays, ce n’est pas un pays, c’est l’hiver.” C’est ainsi que chante un célèbre chansonnier chez nous, et tous ceux qui habitent le Québec ne sauront pas le contredire. Mais l’hiver, c’est aussi Noël, et l’offrande musicale du Trio Buddy Munro que voici rendra les fêtes encore plus agréables.
