liner notes: "Philippe Ménard's training and experience make him a truly multi-discplinary artist. His different roles are pianist, composer, engineer, computer specialist, concert soundman and producer, and teacher of a communications course. He has so far created a number of instrumental acoustic works, many of them for multi-media, performances, installations and advertising.

His background includes traditional music studies at Universite Laval and Universite de Paris. Later, in France, he excelled in electroacoustic innovation and computers at Universite de Paris VIII, at GRM, CEMAMU, IRCAM, but especially with Groupe de Musique Experimentale in Bourges, which he worked with from 1974 to 1976.
