About This Title

This album was the first female rock and roll album released in Canada. It was recorded by Irene McNeil, who was one of the first Quebecers to record a rock and roll album. The album was Irene's first of two, released on the London label.

Irene was accompanied by Rod Tremblay et son ensemble as well as Jean-Paul Delisle et ses Trio.

Along with her self-penned song "Noël en Italie", Irene interprets rock and roll classics by Bill Hailey and the Comets, Ivory Joe Hunter among others, all sung in french.
