About This Title

Long before the devastation of the north Atlantic cod stocks, Martin roasted the government of then Prime Minister Brian Mulroney for their folly in not protecting the Grand Banks of Newfoundland. "Beautiful Bay of Conception" is a ballad of leaving his beautiful wife and home to go to war in Europe, where he is shot by a nazi.
