Canadian country singer/yodeler/songwriter Hank Rivers got his start in Hull, Québec, Canada on a radio program called the "Happy Homesteaders" between 1933-34 where he sang, strummed guitar and yodeled. Although not well known outside of Canada, his music has influenced the likes of Smiling Slim Rogers and others. In 1967, Canadian RCA Victor recorded and released three singles; "Confederation Train" / "Hank's Centennial Travels" (RCA Victor Canada International 57-3426), "Take Me Back To Old N.B." / "Sister Mary" (RCA Victor International 57-3434), and "Something To Sing About" / Shoes Keep Walking" (RCA Victor Canada International 57-3454).
