Album / Title
By: Winston Hewitt
Origin: Kingston, Jamaica - Toronto, Ontario, 🇨🇦
Both sides have a unique sound, and it just may have had something to do with the infamous SUMMER RECORDS of Toronto, in some people's opinions, the greatest Canadian reggae label of all time, something of a WACKIES or BLACK ARK of Canada. The distributors of this record (who also published it), DYNA was located on Jane St. in what was then, Downsview, Ontario (now part of the mega city Toronto). Downsview was not that far from Malton... Anyways, Winston Hewitt was known to perform along with Earth, Roots and Water, so it would not surprise if one or two of those players were on here. "It's Too Late" is more of a soulful tune, while "Let Us All Work Together" is more of a rootsier sound.
The legendary Winston Hewitt - recording artist of Jamaica/Canada, and the lead singer of Jamaica's most successful vocal groups - The Pioneers; and founder of The Canadian Reggae Music Awards was inducted into The Museum of Canadian Music HOF, in Canada, August 31, 2023.
