About This Title
This prolific songwriter/performer has released 7 albums, which have won him a host of awards and nominations from both JUNOs and East Coast Music Awards. Over 30 artists have recorded Gallant’s songs including Jimmy Buffett, who calls Gallant one of his favourite writers. He has also composed songs for theatre, television, documentaries and special events. His songs have appeared in feature films and on the hit series Dawson’s Creek and Joan of Arcadia. He is considered one of Canada’s best songwriters, both in English and French, and in the spring of 2004 the country’s highest honour was bestowed on him when he was inducted into the Order of Canada for his contribution to Canadian culture.
