Here is another great collection of folk songs by Mike Ford written about our great Canadian culture, this time with Toronto in mind.
One of the songs is a nice ode to Jane Jacobs. Jane Jacobs arrived in Toronto in 1968, after spending 30 years in New York City. Most of her life has been dedicated to writing about urban planning. She didn't like the Spadina expressway.
Another song is written about the Great Fire of 1904, a fire which tore through the commercial heart of Toronto, leaving 125 businesses destroyed. No lives were lost.
Stars Shone on Toronto has been made available for streaming by Mike exclusively.
