Liner notes
This collection of songs was inspired by Cattle Drives, Wagon Treks and Zane Grey Novels. The romance and adventure of the western lifestyle has been a part of me since I was a kid riding bareback across the prairies, yodeling up a storm. Over the years my wife Lynne and I have been on horseback with 44 covered wagons, choked on the dust from countless cattle drives and gazed on creation from the back of a horse high above timberline.

It’s been a “Grande Olde Ride”

Thanks to all the wonderful musicians who contributed to this project. Dobro, mandolin, violin and the voices of long time singing partners Linda Kidder and Peter Padden all played a large part in capturing that lonesome prairie sound. Special thanks to good friends Jerry Paquette for sharing my vision, Ted Bishop at Teddy Bear Productions for being there for me at the right time and who can forget the “Patience of Cale” I dedicate this cd to my sweetheart, Lynne, who shared the “Ride” and made it “Grand”
