Information/Write-up

The Dayglo Abortions were a trio that formed in 1981 and were Victoria's earliest and most famous punk rock bands. This is their their debut album, a solid punk effort, released in 1983 on Sharpe Records, in a press run of 1000 copies. The album included a black and white fold-out lyric poster. The first few copies came in homemade sleeves that the group made while the official sleeves were being pressed. Many of the tracks appeared later in their "Feed Us a Fetus" LP.

Engineered by Tony Moskal at Legacy Studios in 1981
Produced by Fine Tune Production
Photography and Graphic Design by Bob Garlick

Dayglo Abortions are:
Jesus Bonehead on drums
Cretin on guitar
Stupid on bass

The album was re-issued in 2007 on Unrest Records in a press run of 4000 copies.

Included in the photos below is a typed letter from Robin Sharpe, founder of Sharpe Records, to Rough Trade in London, England. They were selling these albums for $4. In 29 years, the value of this record has gone up by 1500%. Orginal NM copies now sell for $600.00.
