Released in 1960 on Rodeo Records, I Miss You / In A World Of Our Own captures Ted Daigle in the midst of his transition from early country recordings to the emerging rock & roll sound. Backed by Bathurst, NB’s first rock & roll band, The Tremolos, this single showcases Daigle’s smooth yet commanding vocal style, set against a backdrop of tight instrumentation and a mix of country and rockabilly influences.

With Gilbert Glazier on lead guitar, Léo Chiasson on bass, Arthur Chiasson on drums, and Raymond Picot on organ, The Tremolos provide a polished yet raw energy, bridging the gap between traditional country ballads and the upbeat rhythms of early rock & roll. While Elzéar Poirier, the band’s usual lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, was absent from this recording, Daigle took the spotlight, further solidifying his reputation as one of Canada's most versatile and pioneering artists.
