this record never had any insert or poster distributed with it. This misconception comes from the fact that, during the same period, Friends Records sold some extra promo poster for the first three D.O.A. releases (most posters were distributed to the record stores who carried the LP's and they sold the extra ones through mail order) and the poster read "Hardcore 81" with the pictures of the first three D.O.A. 12" on Friends Records. This poster was NEVER distributed with the Hardcore 81 LP. It was given away to record stores OR sold separately. This album was released on the legendary Vancouver Label Friends Records, which was VERY D.I.Y. cause they re-used surplus record jackets they obtained from other record labels. They printed over the original jackets with black ink, turned them inside out and pasted their covers on the other side. It was so neatly done, most people didn’t knew that!
