About This Title

Ottawa’s Bureaucrats were formed in the summer of 1978. They only released one 45 and appeared on two compilations during their short career, but this 1980 single is one of the very best of all Canadian punk records. Two songs here, recorded in December 1979, and each is a bright star in the early punk/pop pantheon, both surging, memorable tunes delivered with loads of energy and angst. A Canadian counterpart to The Jam, Buzzcocks, Undertones, Clash etc.

Half of the 7"s were issued sleeveless though someone did (much) later do a 2 piece reproduction on heavy paper stock. Original sleeves are slightly oversized, glossy white paper with black printing, glued on 3 sides. 500 printed.

The single has been re-issued by Ugly Pop Records on Ugly Pop 035 in 2013. buy it here: http://uglypop.bigcartel.com/product/pointed-sticks-what-do-you-want-me-to-do-45-and-bureaucrats-feel-the-pain-45

Gary (Gaz) Sidwell: vocals
