COUNT: 1, 2, 3, 4 | and 2 and 3 and 4
STYLE: Very fluid, never stiff or jerky

The Bossa Nova beat is played on drums and bass with the characteristic Samba rhythm on guitar and piano. The above steps are done in relaxed style with soft knee action and gentle bouncing. The Bossa Nova music is played in 4/4 time with emphasis on the 2nd and 4th beats.

These lessons are written and demonstrated by Rosita & Deno, Montreal’s top Latin-American dance team and radio-television personalities. They have studied with masters of Brazilian and Cuban dancing in Rio de Janeiro, Havana, and New York.

This record is designed as a companion album to their radio & television programs and personal instruction given at the “Rosita” chain of dance studios.
