Get set for an exciting session with this great debut album! Barry Allen was voted “Canada’s Most Promising Male Vocalist” by readers of Canada’s music paper “R.P.M.” in the 1966 poll—and on this album Barry demonstrates just why he won this honour and why he is a big bet to be named Top Male Vocalist in the next awards!
Barry is from Edmonton, Alberta. He is 22 years old, is 5 feet 10 in height, weighs 160 lbs, and has blonde hair and blue eyes. While attending high school in Edmonton he began singing and playing guitar in small groups around the area. After two years he joined Wes Dakus and The Rebels.
Capitol Records saw the potential in the young singer and quickly signed him to a contract. With the release of his first Capitol disc “It’s Alright With Me Now” he was headed for Stardom! Barry has since appeared on major TV shows and built up a big fan following with each Capitol release.
All his hits are included here along with other great tunes. We think you’ll really dig this fab talent . . . a talent who is really Goin’ Places!
