Canadian record company, production company and recording studio located in Vancouver, British Columbia founded in 1969 by Tom Northcott, Jack Herschorn, and Ralph Harding via their holding company Libra Industrial Corp. At its inception, Studio 3 Productions included two labels (New Syndrome Records and Capilano Records) and six publishing companies (Gondola Music, Vancouver Publishing Co., Jack & Jill Music, Arbutus Music, Gastown Music). The recording studio equipment was purchased entirely from Western Recorders in Los Angeles and installed in Vancouver by Western engineer Bob Felthousen. It established labels Stamp Records and Pacific North Records in 1972; Sweetwater Records and Natural Sounds in 1974. In 1974 Harding joined up with Timbre One Productions Ltd. and the studio changed names to Timbre One Sound Studios Ltd.. In 1976 Harding took control again and renamed it after his production company Total Sounds West.

Chief engineer for the studio was Tap Suo-Antilla (aka Tap the Finn). He constructed a new 16-track console for the studio in 1970, at the time one of the most advanced consoles in North America.
