Two young Vancouver men in their early twenties recently collaborated to produce a musical version of Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost. Richard Ouzounian wrote the lyrics for the songs and Marek Norman created the music. The result was a very popular stage show, and a new wealth of songs which each tell a story in themselves. Four of the best songs are recorded here by Marek Norman and his friend Jane Mortifee. Marek Norman is the epitome of an all-round musician. He sings, plays the piano, flute and clarinet and does a lot of composing. He has written a rock mass (Maranatha), and also a musical adaptation of The Merry Wives of Windsor.
