Rick's greatest passion is songwriting. Born in Canada but growing up in California from the ages of 6 to 16, he draws from his life experiences to create songs that touch the full range of emotions in the styles of Pop, Rock, Country, Folk and Americana.

Rick was the rhythm guitarist/mandolinist for Juno nominated Canadian Country/Blues Artist Diane Raeside for over 20 years. He wrote two of her radio singles, including the title track to her first CD titled “Since You Went Away” as well as the more recent single titled “It’s A Miracle”, with both songs receiving good airplay around the world.

Rick’s song titled “We’ll Go Dancing” was recorded by Nashville artist Mak Kaylor (Sony Music) and released to radio worldwide.

Rick has worked and recorded with such great artists and musicians as Michael Fonfara (Foreigner, Lou Reed, Downchild Blues Band), Joe Mavety (Maryanne Faithful, Joe Cocker), Rick Gratton (Rough Trade, Ian Thomas), Joe Agnello (Cameo Blues Band, David Wilcox), Tony Lester (Boys Brigade, Arson) and many others.

Rick still performs locally from time to time, and he continues to write songs for both himself and other artists.

Since 1978, he has been involved in the music industry as a songwriter, performer, producer, jingle writer, voice over talent, studio musician, publisher, promoter and licensing agent.
