Formed in Winnipeg in 1964, The Electric Jug & Blues Band grew out of the Down-To-Earthen-Ware Jugband who many times shared the stage at The Fourth Dimension Coffee House with fellow Winnipeger Neil Young. The band opened for the Monkees on one concert bill and performed at Expo '67 in Montreal. The band had one single in 1969 on Franklin Records called "You Don't Love Me" b/w "The Family Breakdown" produced by Ron Paley. The band split up the same year.
