Cindy Bédard

Cindy Bédard is a Québec singer-songwriter whose music bridges modern country, folk, and roots-rock with an unmistakably personal voice. She was born and raised in Saint-Tite, Quebec, a town internationally known for its deep country-music tradition, and that environment played a formative role in shaping both her sound and her artistic identity.

Surrounded by music from an early age, Bédard began performing while still young, developing a stage presence grounded in sincerity and energy. Her songs reflect everyday experiences, resilience, and emotional honesty, delivered with a directness that has become her signature. After several years of honing her craft on stages across Quebec, she officially launched her recording career in the mid-2000s.

Her debut album, Fille du vent (2014), marked her arrival as a serious voice in Quebec’s country scene, earning industry attention and an ADISQ nomination for Country Album of the Year. The record introduced her as an artist capable of balancing radio-friendly hooks with thoughtful, grounded songwriting. She continued to expand her musical palette on Cœur sédentaire (2016), which further solidified her reputation as a confident and evolving songwriter.

With Après l’orage (2020), Bédard leaned into themes of renewal, strength, and personal growth, reflecting both maturity and artistic assurance. Her fourth album, J’dis ça à personne (2024), represents a high point in her career, showcasing a bold, liberated voice and an embrace of vulnerability, humor, and empowerment.

Over the years, Cindy Bédard has toured extensively throughout Quebec, appearing at major festivals including the Festival d’été de Québec and the Festival Western de Saint-Tite. She has shared the stage with key figures in Quebec country music, notably Paul Daraîche, and has earned multiple industry honors, including the SPACQ’s Prix Paul Daraîche.

Rooted in tradition yet firmly contemporary, Cindy Bédard continues to carve out her place as one of Quebec’s most authentic and relatable country artists, connecting with audiences through songs that feel lived-in, honest, and unmistakably her own.
