Biography
"For Cochrane-based singer-songwriter Jim Peace there is no better way to share the western traditions of his life than through song writing. Made up of one part cowboy values, another wilderness lover and the rest musician”
-LINDSAY SEWALL, Cochrane Eagle
“I’ve always liked songs that tell stories that touch people. It’s great when someone comes backstage after a show to tell you how a song you played connected to them. The songs on this recording are a collection of stories, of people and places I’ve spent time with over the last few years. Sometimes we need to look back to understand how to move forward.
Thanks to all the musicians who played on this recording, those that I’ve had the pleasure of playing with on stage across western Canada, to the organizers who’ve booked me and most important, to everyone who has come out to the shows. A special thanks to John Buckley who spent many hours working with me writing, re-writing and arranging these songs. Thanks also to Mag Mawhinney, Tammi Henke and the late Glen Rafuse for the great lyrics they contributed.”
See you down the trail.
