Biography:

Carolyn Harley
is a dynamic performer who loves being on stage and interacting with her audience. She believes in songs that matter and songs that connect.

Carolyn has spent a career of study and effort to create a body of work that is well crafted, varied, entertaining and thought provoking. Her songs have been recorded by a wide variety of artists including Cajun, bluegrass, roots and classic country artists.

Carolyn’s voice has often been likened to Patsy Cline, but also to Alison Krauss, Bonnie Raitt and Mary Travers depending on the style of song. This makes for an interesting concert that constantly draws the audience back to full attention.

Whether performing for a festival; a concert or for an intimate house concert, Carolyn is always looking to give the audience variety, humour, and insight into life. Invariably during the course of a concert there is laughter, tears, heads nodding in agreement and toes tapping in time.

People go home with a bounce in their step and a sense of renewed energy!

Take an exceptional songwriter who can write in a wide variety of styles; add in a beautiful voice that causes people to say "I could listen to you sing all night!" and finally add in a sense of humour and an engaging stage presence with solid guitar work and you end up with a recipe for an engaging, thoughtful and uplifting concert of original music.

I am excited to be working with these two charming musicians. I am a singer/songwriter. I love what these two musicians bring to my songs.

We started working together in the summer of 2021. Our last two concerts both received ovations! We have found our sound!!

I write in a wide range of styles including folk, blues, blue-grass, country, ballads, jazz, humour and I love audience participation!

Joe Harley is my dear hubby. He brings bass work and humour to the mix.

Steve Goodchild is a multi-instrumentalist. He brings guitar, mando, banjo and harmony to the sound of our trio.

Our show is high energy and interactive. We will be showcasing songs from my album HEARTBEAT OF THE WORLD which was nominated for YYC Folk album of the Year for 2021 and songs from my latest release, SONGS OF HOPE - Featuring A Song For Ukraine.

We are available for festivals, concerts series, house concerts, fund raiser events (2 per year) and special events.
