Biography:

Born in 1952 in Kitchener, Ontario, Mike Lehman emerged as the youngest of eight siblings. During his high school years, he showcased his musical talent by singing in a band and later went on to establish a group named Yukon. The band gained recognition across Ontario, Quebec, and New York State, even opening for renowned acts such as Chuck Berry and the Four Tops. In June of 1975, Mike departed from Yukon and secured a recording contract with producer Greg Hambleton.

His debut release, "I’m on Fire," composed by UK songwriter Ben Findon, hit the music scene on Rubber Bullet in 1975. Engineered by Terry Brown and produced by Greg Hambleton, the recording took place at Toronto Sound. Licensed to Quality Records, the single garnered widespread airplay in Canada and made its mark on the RPM Canadian Top 100 pop singles charts, debuting at #90 on July 26 and reaching #62 by August 30, 1975. Unfortunately, the momentum was disrupted when the Dwight Twilley Band released a different song with the same title shortly after, leading to what Greg Hambleton described as "game over."

Undeterred, Mike Lehman continued his musical journey, releasing four more singles and eventually compiling a few of them, along with additional tracks, into an album, released in 1977. He embarked on extensive recording and touring activities, leading a showband supported by two female vocalists-dancers, Susan Hunt and Lea Crichton. The four-piece band, "Fullflight," featured Wayne Detrich on bass, Pat Furlong on drums, John Dunn on keyboards, and Kevin Peperall on guitar.
