Irish-born Chris Hennessy was a founding member of the Sons of Erin, whose album of folks songs made them popular in both Newfoundland and Ireland. This provided the opportunity to tour Canada, which led Chris to produce his own album, Ballad of a Sad Cafe. Chris then immigrated to Newfoundland where he established himself as a singer and songwriter, met his wife, and settled into his career of playing, singing, songwriting and producing music.
