Biography:
On January 23, 1962, the Versatiles were invited to the CHRC Fan Club, a week before Chubby Checker's big show at the Colisée de Québec.
As engagements became more and more frequent, the group decided to recruit a bassist in the person of Jean Cloutier;
a fifth member was added in Rémi Clark.
The time had come for a first recording session; they recorded ten pieces and their LP was released,
one with a French cover while the other had an English cover. A first in Quebec!
Michel Wilson then gave way to Denis Lapierre.
A first 45 was released in September 1964 with the pieces Oh lonesome me and Last night.
In March 1965, the Versatiles recorded a 2'nd and final single: Pauvre diable and Bolide X 16.
