Uproar was formed in 1971 in Vancouver B.C. from the remnants of Vancouver 1960's garage band The United Empire Loyalists. Comprised of Tom Lavin (vocals, guitar; Powder Blues Band & Orville Dorp), Glen Henrickson (drums) and Jeff Ridley (rhythm guitar and vocals). Uproar released just one single, the guitar driven psych-garage rockers Different Drummer / Look Who We Are. The band broke up shortly after the release of their one and only single.
