Biography:

Originally from Saint-Georges de Beauce, Quebec, Paskal et les Seigneurs made their debut in 1966. The group adopted their name at the suggestion of their manager, Réjean Rancourt.

The band recorded their only single, "Je ne devrais pas y penser" b/w "Tous ces problèmes" (Loir-LO-8303, 1966), just before disbanding. The A-side, "Je ne devrais pas y penser", was a French adaptation of The Beatles' "You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away". Before the record’s release, Mario Poulin (vocals) and Yvon Poulin (organ) replaced Ghislain Grenier and Émilien Bergeron, and the band continued for another 8 to 12 months under the shortened name Les Seigneurs.

Following the departure of Mario and Yvon Poulin, Diane Pomerleau (guitar, vocals) joined the group. When she left, Richard Grenier (bass) was recruited, and the band was renamed Les Switchs.

Legacy & Rarity
The band's sole 45 RPM release is considered one of the rarest Quebec garage band singles of the 1960s. Released in Québec City with a limited pressing of only 500 copies, it was primarily distributed among the band members and local fans. Over the past 40 years, only two copies have surfaced in collectors’ circles, making it an extremely sought-after piece among vinyl enthusiasts.
