Information/Write-up

This gentle musician, whose blond hair touches the sky and whose feet extend from the roots that reach the heart of the Earth, is the most discreet of our champions. Whether he plays in the group called Patrick Watson or his own Notre Dame de Grass, whether he accompanies a Marie-Pierre Arthur or a Catherine Durand, he is most often bent over a guitar, or his pedal steel , in full of music, inventive and inspired. It is too little known, he also leads a solo career, and this most recent album is a marvel. Tender folk ballad ( Rosemary , Head Full of Light ), Tom Waits ( Oar ) sound effects, trad echoes ( We Waited ), affectionate cover of a song by Lhasa de Sela ( Island Song ), its fine manner and its taste for restrained grooves tint everything it touches. But the most beautiful thing here is that we hear his beautiful warm voice. " Take your time you know that I'll be there waiting for you He sings in Hovercraft . Quite expected, Joe Grass. We arrive.

« Take your time you know that I’ll be there waiting for you », chante-il dans Hovercraft. Assez attendu, Joe Grass. On arrive.
