Information/Write-up

From northern lands comes another group of Folk Death, but not of this continent, but from beyond the pond, Ontario, Canada. If is only one group is particular good, two is a coincidence, but if there are several good Canadian groups who practice a folk quality death perhaps we should look more seriously into those distant lands. Nordheim and Bolero are two examples and now Battlesoul.

Since you look at the cover you know what you'll find in Lay Down Thy Burdens. From the first track Oathbreaker and we have a death metal with folk influences, touches epic, fast-paced ... The vocals are guttural but clean play with at various times with a great result. We must work reclaclar battery, always with a very hectic pace and the pattern being worked on at all times, even to sometimes be too extreme.

For fans of bands like Ensiferum and Equilibrium this album is perfect. Another big surprise from Canada, will have obsrevar what happens to the Death Metal Folk Hence, this is no coincidence, the problem will be like to pursue and how difficult it will be to see you here. A highly recommended album!
