Biography:

Jack Semple may live in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, a bastien of country music, but he plays with the soul and fire of a Mississippi Delta blues man. Jack has spent decades honing his craft and establishing himself as one of North America's premiere guitar virtuosos.

Jack grew up on a farm, the youngest of six children. He began playing the guitar by learning from his brothers, and then progressed to formal lessons, studying classical and flamenco. His first foray into professional music was on a television show called Country West, where he met and worked with artists such as Prairie Oyster, Valdy, K.D. Lang, Sylvia Tyson, and Colin James.

Jack established himself as am accomplished rhythm and blues/jazz guitarist in his own band, the Luxury Blues Band. He then travelled to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to become a member of the Lincolns, a renowned Canadian band. Duiring this time, hockey legend and superstar, Wayne Gretzky heard and became an avid fan of the band. He liked them so much that he flew the band to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, to play at his wedding.

Returning to Saskatchewan, for family reasons, he then started his own blues group, the Jack Semple Band. In 1992, Jack Semple won Guitar Wars, a national guitar competition, which launched his recording career with the release of "Sneakin' Suspicion" in1994, followed by "Grey and Yellow", and "Saskadelphia" in 1995.

Jack Semple broadened his musical horizons, scoring for television and film and gained even more notoriety starring in "Guitarman", a made for television movie. He has just received Rawlco Radio's Project 1020K Saskatchewan funding for a new recording project, to begin soon.

Jack continues to perform regular gigs at numerous locales within Regina.
